BRATISLAVA

THE WORKS of Karel Appel bring an explosion of light and colour to Danubiana. Many consider the expressionist to be Holland's most important artist. His paintings, sculptures and ceramics are unique, due to his ability to see through the eyes of a child: to paint with a child's invention and freedom. The exhibition runs at the Danubiana Modern Art Museum at the Čunovo Water Works until December 10. It is open daily except Monday between 10:00 and 18:00. Tickets cost Sk60. Tel: 02/6252-8501.
