Man, Hero, Spirit, Machine is an exhibition that applies the perspective of gender to art created exclusively by men. Through focusing on masculine art and male principles the show reflects the problems men face and the role of men in society. The project is a reaction, though perhaps a delayed one, to the phenomenon of the gender in arts, which has been used almost exclusively in women's or feminist art. The project displays works by 30 Czech and Slovak artists. The exhibition takes place at the Medium Gallery at Hviezdoslavovo Square 18 in Bratislava. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 except Thursday, when it opens from 12:00 to 19:00 until February 12. For more information on the show call 02/5443-5334.
