BRITISH producer and DJ Dani Siciliano performing what is these days considered blues and urban folk headlines the micro.Wilsonic festival, a smaller and more intimate satellite version of the summertime Wilsonic electronic music festival in Bratislava. On January 26, the historic market (Stará Tržnica) will turn into a concert hall that welcomes international and local artists. Apart from Dani Siciliano, who cooperated with the renowned Matthew Herbert on the albums Bodily Functions and Scales and is now intensively building her solo career, the young French DJ Missill and the Gypsy Project from the Czech Republic will take the stage. DJ Missill is the new rising star of the Paris scene, and promises a set built from hip-hop, grime, dancehall and electro. Gypsy, a young Roma musician who combines rap with singing, hip-hop, soul, funk and ethno music is being called one of the most original faces on the Czech contemporary music scene. Tickets cost Sk270 when bought in advance and Sk350 at the door. The concert in the Stará Tržnica at Námestie SNP 25 starts at 20:00. For more information call 0903/268-872 or visit www.wilsonic.sk.
