RACE: Drag wars SK vs. CZ - Slovak Championship of sprint cars and motorcycles 2016 takes place in the framework of the event Powerfest featuring "Drag Wars SK vs.CZ". Slovak and Czech racers will compete for trophies in the quarter mile with race to be joined also by vehicles from Poland. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Iršai, Elgar, Čajkovskij - The concert will be performed in framework of Allegretto Žilina - The International Festival of classical music by two young and talented musicians. Conductor Aziz Shokhakimov from Uzbekistan who began his carrier as a 13-year-old and Camille Thomas, a young French-Belgian violoncellist nominated for discovery of the year and a 2014 French Grammy „Les Victoires de la Musique“. They will perform a Concert for cello and orchestra e mol op. 85 by Edward Elgar which belongs to the most famous opuses, the last oeuvre by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - The Symphony no. 6 h mol, op. 74 Pathetique. OPERA: The derniere of Priateľ Fritz/ Friend Fritz - The opera in three acts inspired by homonymous French story by authors Emil Erckmann and Alexander Chatrian. The topic of the story is typical or often used for operas: Wealthy landowner and obdurate young man Fritz falls in love with lovely Suzei, the daughter of his friend. The state opera shows this famous opera by Italian composer Pietro Mascagni, directed by Dana Dinková, led by Marián Vach with choirmaster Iveta Popovičová. OPERA: Manon Lescaut - One of the most famous and most performed opera titles of composer Giacomo Puccini has returned to the Košice Theatre. A story about a philandering beauty, who is enjoying life to the fullest and gives herself over to the hands of fate, which catches up with her and leaves her alone and abandoned. An opera that had its premiere in Torino in 1893 will be introduced in the Košice State Theatre under the direction of Slovak director Peter Gábor, a multiple-award winner. EXHIBITION: História zhmotnená v kove/ History materialised in metal - The Eastern Slovak Museum (VSM) and Rákoczi Museum of the Hungarian National Museum (MNM) have prepared an exhibition of a collection of cast iron artefacts by László Korompay.
