THE SLOVAK Philharmonic Orchestra will perform for a local audience on March 25 and 26 at 19:00 under the baton of significant Dutch conductor David Porcelijn. The ensemble will perform symphonies by two Czech composers, Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů.
During the concert on March 25, the best young artists will be awarded the Golden Note awards for their achievements, sponsored by the Slovenská sporiteľňa savings bank.
The young instrumentalists and vocalists were selected from the three significant Slovak music institutions: the Košice State Philhamonic, the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra and the ensembles grouped under the Slovak Philharmonic. Altogether, 11 young talents were nominated, four of whom will receive the awards.
