Great Country is opening its gates once again

Great Country is opening its gates once again. We will be accepting new projects during the whole of October, and in November we, together with the board of directors of Great Country, will choose the projects that will become a part of Great Country starting in January 2016.

If you know about a good project that you think should be on Great Country, don’t hesitate and tell them to send it to us.

If you are a social welfare project coordinator and you want to look for donors together with Great Country, this appeal is aimed exactly at you.

The opportunity to join Great Country comes only once a year. Join us in the year 2016. The only thing you need to do is to register the project you want to implement using financial aid from donors until 31 October 2015 at www.darca.sk.

What do we offer?

1. A strong partnership

The portal DobraKrajina.sk is administered by Pontis Foundation. By working with us you will gain a lot of useful contacts and opportunities for the development of your organization. Thousands of donors are already supporting 55 projects on Great Country itself. Find out more about the projects on www.dobrakrajina.sk.

2. Improvement of your fundraising abilities

Start developing donation activities in your organization with our help. We will help you attract online donors. At Great Country you can receive both theoretical and practical education – we will organize at least one excellent workshop with world-famous instructors and you can join various campaigns as well.

3. Up-to-date technological tools for donating

Great Country offers up-to-date online tools to ensure easy and reliable donating. Donors can use cards, online payments or they can get a standing order for their donations. Great Country covers all the fees and its environment is constantly being developed and upgraded.

Last year the projects on Great Country collected almost €100,000. The community of donors at Great Country grows every year and their support of projects rises as well.
Of course, we cannot guarantee any donations. However, based on the experience gained from hundreds of project since 2009, we can say that generous people who will gladly support a good cause in Slovakia do exist.

What kind of projects are we looking for?

1. The kind that aims to improve our country

The social welfare project should be managed by a non-governmental organization that has existed for at least a year. In the case that you are only an informal initiative contact us at dobrakrajina@nadaciapontis.sk and we will consider whether we can sponsor your project even without you being a legal entity. For us, the most important thing is your vision, your mission.

2. Projects that are looking for donors

Donations don’t fall from the sky. Engaging donors in your activities is a systematic and continuous process. We are looking for projects whose coordinators have the capacity and energy to acquire funds for their projects from individuals – the donors.

How do you join?

1. Register at Darca.sk

Register into the Program Great Country 2016. You will get a notification by email. After you confirm it you can sign in and fill out the project.

2. Sign in into your account and fill out the project

Sign in here using the login and password you registered. You can simply save the project online at any time you need; it is not necessary to both fill out and submit the form at the same time. However, don’t forget to save the project after every change.

3. Send us your project no later than 31 October 2015 11:59:59 PM :)

You can send the project at the last page “8. Summary of the project”.

4. Wait for the evaluation

In November we will evaluate all the projects together with the board of directors of Great Country. We will contact you with the final decision and more information about any further steps on 4 December 2015.
