A fairy tale atmosphere will reign at two of Bratislava's movie theaters when the Biennale of Animation Bratislava (BAB) runs September 16-21. This will be BAB's fourth international festival of animated films for children. Showcased will be 110 animated movies from 18 countries though this year's festival will be mainly devoted to animated movies from Scandinavia.

Bibiana, the organizer of BAB, has prepared animated movies at Kino Tatra, September 17 - 20 everyday at 10, 13:30, 15:30, 17 and 19:30. Morning shows are reserved for schools, while afternoon shows are open to the public. There is no entrance fee during the day. The evening show at 19:30 is mostly for adults with a small 20 Sk entrance fee.

Kino Mladosť will run animated movies as well on the same time schedule. However Mladosť is open mostly for handicapped children or children from orphanage homes. BAB, which is sponsored by Bibiana and the Ministry of Culture, hopes that 8,000 children and adults will go see the high quality animated films that all teach a moral lesson.
