“The KPU Trnava archaeologists found another coin thanks to a metal detector, a denarius from the 17th century,” reads the KPÚ Trnava website. Another important finding from the town hall interior is late-middle age ceramics.
The coins are the evidence of origin and progress of the market hall construction. The coins are the only known precisely dated archaeological findings from the monument area of Sobotište.
Haban House in Sobotište arose in the mid-16th century, southwest from the then central part of the village near the existing mill. Town hall and the mill, pub, chapel and bell tower are considered to be the most significant buildings in the village.

The two-storey structure is located in the centre of the courtyard in the northern part of the square, used as the social centre of the local community. It was declared to be national cultural landmark in 2011.
