Godfather of electronic music Jean-Michel Jarre is known not only for his innovative music, but also concerts attended by millions, which got him into the Guinness Book of Records. Next time he takes the stage will be on May 12, in Bratislava.
“I'm delighted to announce 'Bridge from the Future', a one-off open-air live concert-event for the opening of the Starmus Festival in the centre of Bratislava,” Jean-Michel Jarre wrote on social networks.
The concert
When: May 12, 20:00
Where: Parking plot next to Incheba, Viedenská cesta 3

He will be joined onstage by his friend Brian May - co-founder of Starmus, a festival bringing together scientists and artists, and founding member of Queen, as well as astrophysicist. This will be for the first time the two musicians perform together. Even though they discussed working together in the past, this has never happened.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity because we share the same values, a love of science and technology, or the idea that musical moments on stage can be powerful and that we can share them with the audience in a spectacular way,” Jean-Michel Jarre said in an interview with the Denník N daily.
The music-visual show will take place on the parking lot between Aupark shopping centre and the Incheba fairground on the right bank of the Danube River. Its capacity is 30,000 people.
