Kelarová brings her singing workshop to Zvolen

IDA Kelarová claims that anyone can sing. And she ceaselessly proves it. Projects from this Czech singer with Roma roots have been a success in Germany, Switzerland, England, Israel and the Czech Republic. Now she brings her therapeutic skills to Central Slovakia.

During the Weekend of Attractive Theatre, which runs from November 14 to 17 in Zvolen, she will offer singing lessons to anybody interested. At the end of the festival she will hold a concert of Roma songs with her 50-member Apsora choir, made up of graduates from her courses, also inviting participants from this workshop.

The singer, arranger, teacher and Roma activist who emigrated to the West in 1982 but returned to the Czech Republic, founded the International School for Human Voice, which offers courses to all "who search for their inner voice".

Through her teaching people to sing she removes the blocks that stop them from expressing emotions, as she thinks voice is the indicator of what is going on inside.
