RUDOLF Frieling, curator, scientist, and publicist from the prestigious German institution Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, will hold a lecture entitled Contextualising Bill Seaman: Historical and Current Questions in the Relationship towards Texts and Pictures, on March 31 at the Centre for Contemporary Art, in the Trnava synagogue.
The lecture coincides with the closing of the exhibition by American new media artist and poet Bill Seaman that is currently running at the synagogue. Entitled Ephiphany, the artist created a two-part project inspired by his observations of the city's environment during his previous visit to Trnava. His work is exhibited inside as well as outside of the gallery in the form of video and city street signs.
The lecture will be in English with simultaneous Slovak translation, starting at 18:00. Trnava synagogue sits at Halenárska 2. For more information visit www.gjk.sk.
