FILM: Patricio Guzmán: Nostalgia for the Light (Nostalgia de la luz) – The French/Chilean film in Spanish, with English subtitles, is screened within the retrospect overview of the works of Patricio Guzmán. The Chilean Atacama desert is the starting point for a film about astronomy and the Pinochet dictatorship. At a height of 3,000 meters above sea level scientists from around the world come together to observe the universe and to explore the possibility of extraterrestrial life. If the giant telescope would look down, it would see women, who after years are still seeking the bodies of Pinochet’s victims.
