Managing Change is a little book in which CEOs and other top leaders tell their stories about how they dealt with changes. The book comprises essays on the topics ‘Change today, not tomorrow’, ‘Make it comfortable to take a risk’, ‘Changing a culture to create a new market’ and many others.
It is a part of the Lessons Learned series published by Harvard Business School Publishing, which promises that each book in the series, through the power of personal stories, “presents the accumulated wisdom of some of the world’s best-known experts and offers insights into how these individuals think, approach new challenges and use hard-won lessons from experience to shape their leadership philosophies”.

The third edition of Good Essay Writing builds on the success of the previous editions and continues to provide practical and easily accessible advice on writing social science essays but offers, in addition to a completely redesigned and updated text, new material – in particular, how to write using your own words. As such, it will be a valuable resource for anyone wishing to reflect on or improve their essay writing, the preface to the third edition reads. The author provides answers to the key questions students face when preparing essays, such as what tutors look for when marking essays or how inadvertent plagiarism can be avoided.

Business Result promises ‘business English you can take to work today’. It is aimed at teaching communication skills that the business workplace requires of people today. According to the introductory notes on the cover, the communicative syllabus of the book provides pick-up-and-use business skills.
The book works with case studies, which include the Expert View – professional commentary from experts at Cranfield School of Management, which gives real-world business authenticity and introduces an authoritative business perspective to the lessons.
To the Lighthouse. Virginia Woolf. Paperback: 195 pages. Publisher: Oxford University Press, 2008.
The new edition of To the Lighthouse edited by David Bradshaw includes, beside the complete text of the novel, a biographical preface, introduction, textual note, bibliography, chronology and explanatory notes.
Woolf’s To the Lighthouse belongs among the masterworks of English literature. The plot concerns the Ramsay family and their summer guests on the Isle of Skye before and after World War I.
“A captivating fusion of elegy, autobiography, socio-political critique and visionary thrust, it is the most accomplished of Woolf’s novels,” the cover note reads.
The new edition of To the Lighthouse was published within the Oxford World’s Classics series which now comprises over 700 titles of the world’s great literature from the 4,000-year-old myths of Mesopotamia to the twentieth-century’s greatest novels.
