FOURTEEN Slovak designers, artists, and craftspeople whose works are regularly exhibited at the Centre of Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) Design Studio in Bratislava, which specialises in presenting new approaches to traditional folk art, will be introduced to the Austrian public.
Their furniture, interior decorations, fashion, and jewellery made of glass, wood, metal, textile, and wicker will be exhibited in the New Traditions exhibition starting May 11 at the Österreichische Werkstätten in Vienna.
The exhibition includes experimental glassworks by leading young designer Patrik Illo, painting on glass by Marika Berkyová, textile works by Andrea Lachová, pottery sets by Danile Lichard, furniture designs by Etela Lučová, and wire lamps by Šimon Mišurda.
The exhibition will run Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:30 and Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 until June 3.
