When Danny is suddenly left on his own, he meets blind pianist Sam (Morgan Freeman), who shows him what being treated like a human - and not a dog - actually means.

Toni Collette and Cameron Diaz play two sisters whose extremely different paths become further intertwined and complicated when their estranged grandmother (Shirley MacLaine) comes into their lives and reveals a troubling family secret.
