Public sculptures on show in Bratislava

The public sculpture project, Socha a objekt (Statue and Object), is a traditional event of Bratislava’s Cultural Summer and on June 25 nine exhibitions were opened. In addition to individual works, two joint presentations are on show in Slovenská výtvarná únia (Slovak Artistic Union) and in Dom umenia (House of Arts).

The presentation includes top works by well-known sculptors such as Jozef Jankovič, Andrej Rudavský, Peter Roller, Martin Lettrich and Milan Lukáč as well as several successful young sculptors like Radko Mačuha and Ján Zelinka.

Bratislava residents and visitors can see the statues and sculptures in Hviezdoslavovo, Primatial and Františkánske squares and also in the ‘backyards’ of University Library and the Church of St. Clara’s Order. The public displays will continue until August 23.
