Romeo and Juliet head to Japan

THE RENEWED multi-media dance performance Romeo and Juliet, initially directed and choreographed by Ján Ďurovčík to Henrich Leško's music in 1998, will premiere at the Bratislava Aréna theatre on February 25 and 26.

THE RENEWED multi-media dance performance Romeo and Juliet, initially directed and choreographed by Ján Ďurovčík to Henrich Leško's music in 1998, will premiere at the Bratislava Aréna theatre on February 25 and 26. The show will then travel to Japan to participate in the International Art Festival Tokyo.

Ďurovčík's work is not new to Japanese audiences. Last January the ballet repertoire of the Tokyo National Theatre included his work Vták Ohnivák, which dancers studied under his leadership.
