WHETHER most ski resorts will decide to end the ski season this week or leave open the possibility for skiing in March remains up in the air. A warm front is approaching Slovak mountains, with predictions of sunny days and temperatures up to 8 degrees Celsius at altitudes of 1,000 metres. We will see whether the snow cover survives. Afterwards, temperatures should drop. The warm front will also hit Lomnické Sedlo at altitudes above 1,700 metres. Only the main range of the High Tatras will experience a daylong freeze.
During the weekend, on March 10, go to see the barmen's show in Vrátna, where dancers Johny Mečoch and Melánia Kasenčáková will perform. Martin "Pyco" Rausch, the co-host of Slovakia Searches for a Superstar, invites tourists to Donovaly for the Kamikadze SNOW DAY. Visitors there can also attend untraditional competitions and enjoy a concert by Slovak band IMT Smile. The Veľká Rača ski centre will host a similar event, Let's go HOT ROAD, on March 10. Therefore, sun, music, dance, competitions, fun, and, of course, skiing will lure people to the mountains. Meteorologists are warning this might be the last week for skiing in most resorts, so don't miss this unique opportunity to have fun.
