Summer language course for foreigners opens for 51st time

STUDIA Academica Slovaca (SAS), the summer Slovak language course will starts August 3 and offers three weeks of lessons, lectures, workshops, trips, sightseeing and more.

The “summer school” will opens in Moyzes Hall of the Philosophical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava (where the core of course will then take place). Organised by the Centre for Slovak as Foreign Language, the course is entering its 51st year; and 170 foreign participants of 36 countries worldwide have registered.

This edition commemorates the past 50 years of Studia Academica Slovaca (1965 – 2015) as the oldest summer university of Slovak as a foreign language.

The students are foreign students of Slovak language and Slavistics, cultural workers, managers, translators and others who are interested -- including descendants of Slovak expats.
