Kolja (SC) - A truly great, touching film about life in Czechoslovakia before the 1989 Velvet Revolution took place. Up for an Oscar as best foreign film in 1996. Even if you only know a little Slovak, it is worth taking in the images and sharing with the audience. (Kolja)
Evita * - The epic musical about Evita Perón, Argentina's famous actress and first lady, stars Madonna, and Antonio Banderas. Though Madonna has received most of the publicity while singing to the music of Andrew Loyd Webber, many critics say Banderas steals the show. (Evita)
Mars Attacks * - A hilarious spoof on alien movies by director Tim Burton (Batman, Beetlejuice) starring Jack Nicholson as the U.S. president, Glenn Close as the first lady, and such stars as Pierce Bronson, Michael J. Ransom *- Director Ron Howard delivers a spine-tingling thriller starring Mel Gibson as a semi-crooked businessman whose son gets kidnapped by a group of professional abductors. Also starring René Russo as Gibson's wife, this film gives new definition to the word "ruthless." (Výkupné)
