PORTRAITS of elderly village people, whose lives have been embedded in their faces, are being exhibited at Pezinok's Cultural House. Bratislava photographer Braňo Herchl captured them at work, in the garden, or relaxing in front of their houses in black and white photographs.
"These people fascinate me with their work and identity. I shoot them for my own inner satisfaction," the young photographer, whose inspiration comes from the works of Slovak photographic legends Martin Martinček and Karol Plicka, told TASR.
