REGGAE FESTIVAL: Uprising Reggae Festival – This festival of reggae music has become an established summer tradition in Bratislava, which will host musicians including Shaggy alias Mr Boombastic, Jimmy Cliff, The Skatalites, KRS-One, Dub FX, Cornerstone Roots, Aphrodite, Chronixx, Junior Kelly, Collie Buddz, Mellow Mood, Gentlemans Dub Club, Jah 9 & Dubtonic Kru, Daddy Freddy, Ward 21, and Czech and Slovak performers Medial Banana, Boyband, Vec & Škrupo, Tono S. & Beyuz, Bekim, James Cole and Moja Reč & Komplot Band. The festival opens one day earlier, on August 21, with the Uprising Opening Day, featuring four stages, culinary delicacies, workshops, mud duels, capoeira, morning yoga, graffiti, street art, a halfpipe and more.

CHORAL MUSIC: Bratislava Cantat – The second year of this international competition offers over three days seven choirs and orchestras from Brazil, Indonesia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, and also includes non-competitive performances of folk songs, a capella music and mixed adult choirs.
