TRAVEL

No electricity, no water

A weekend for 15 people in a popular tourist location for less than the price of 10 kilograms of potatoes, or to put it another way - an entire cottage all to yourself in a national park for €10 per day, and half that for locals. There is an increasing interest in stays for undemanding travellers in cottages and homes in the mountains. Find out more here.

Lego as a learning tool

On Saturday, the national finals of the FIRST LEGO League in Slovakia will take place. All this just using Lego parts you may find in your own homes. The finals will take place in the premises of the Slovenská Sporiteľňa bank on Tomášikova Street in Bratislava. Come and witness robot fights, discover what children create and cheer for them. Click here for more details.

TIP: Famous tourist cars no longer allowed in Bratislava's historic centre.
