100 Slovak firms set for Brno engineering fair

More than 100 Slovak exhibitors are set to take part in this year's International Engineering Fair to be held October 1-5 in Brno in the Czech Republic. The area occupied by Slovak exhibits this year will be nearly 20 percent larger than in 2006.

Among the largest exhibits this year will again be U.S. Steel Košice, said Jiří Rousek, commercial director of Veletrhy Brno, which organises the fair. "Their exhibit will cover about 400 square metres."

A so-called "Slovak National Day" will take place at the fair on October 2. Slovak Economy Minister Ľubomír Jahnátek will attend.
