IN the June 17 general elections 541 Slovaks voted from abroad. By June 16 all had mailed or delivered their ballots to a special polling station in the Bratislava district of Petržalka.
According to the Statistics Bureau, 265 of them voted for PM Mikuláš Dzurinda's Slovak Democratic and Christian Union, while 73 voted for Smer.
The Christian Democrats got 49 votes from Slovaks living abroad.
