The party boasts a single member who happens to be its chairman as well: locomotive engineer Pali Vass. There are also three 'sympathisers' to lend support - Brossman, Robert Lifka and Miroslav Švec. "We feel that people, disgusted with politics, have no way of letting our politicians know that the current situation needs to be remedied," the three told the TASR newswire. They expect to receive the votes of people who want to exercise their franchise in the election but have no-one to vote for. The party promises that if it gets to parliament, it sill send no MPs: its empty seats there would remind politicians that part of society has no political party to choose from.

The party chairman and three sympathisers have paid the €16,596 deposit required by law for every political party wanting to enter the parliamentary election. They expect to get at least two percent of votes, which will mean their deposit is returned.

According to the Sme daily, Paliho kapurkov Merry Political Party could be a marketing project designed to advertise a brand or products, as evidenced by the fact that it is advertising expert Igor Brossman who stands behind it. Moreover, it reported that Brossman has filed for trademark registration of Paliho kapurkov under the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages category. TASR | Sme
