THE PRIVATIZATION commission created a shortlist of five of eight investors who made preliminary bids for the Bratislava and Košice airports. All are interested in 66-percent shares of both airports, the SME daily reported.
The five bidders include a consortium of Spanish Abertis with British TBI and Slovak J&T Financial Group; a consortium of Austrian Floghafen Wien and Reiffeisen Zentralbank with the Slovak company Penta; French group Vinci together with the Austrian company A-Way; Turkish investor Tepe Akfen Ventures; and a consortium called Independent Slovak Airport Partners consisting of German Cologne-Bonn Flughafen, Canadian machinery company SNC-Lavalin and Austrian firm Airport Consulting.
The short-listed candidates must send binding bids no later than mid-November.
