Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, during his visit yesterday to Brussels, told EU commissioner for expansion Gunter Verheugen that his country’s recent political turmoil – peaking with a late-August threat by the ethnic Hungarian SMK party to leave the coalition - was now “a thing of the past” with last week’s passage of a key reform law.
