US Ambassador to Slovakia Rodolphe Vallee stated on June 29 that the United States of America respects any government elected through democratic elections.Compiled by Martina Jurinová from press reports
At a working breakfast hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia, Ambassador Vallee said the US Embassy will continue to support Slovakia's further economic development and intensify contacts between Slovak and US citizens.
The US is prepared to continue work focused on protecting human and minority rights. The embassy will also support democratic values and transparency in legal processes and business activities, SITA wrote.
In his opinion, the new government should continue to improve the business environment and implement the Minerva programme of developing a knowledge-based economy in Slovakia.
