Economy and Construction Minister Juraj Miškov has appointed Andrea Gulová as the temporary head of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). She replaces dismissed former director Robert Šimončič and will remain in place until a new director is chosen.
Gulová has worked at SARIO since 2004, becoming the director of the foreign direct investment department in 2009, the TASR newswire wrote. SARIO, which was set up in 2001, is tasked with increasing the amount of foreign investment in Slovakia's economy, supporting Slovak exports, and ensuring the effective use of European structural funds.
