RULING coalition partner the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) expressed unhappiness with the government's Programme Declaration on schools at a press conference March 6, the TASR news agency reported.
ANO MP František Tóth said that curriculum reform had not even begun. "The only thing that's been done is to require theology lessons in the first level of primary school, and that's not enough."
He said students still use outdated textbooks and stressed the need to modernize all aspects of learning in schools.
He put responsibility for the lack of progress in education firmly on the shoulders of Education Minister Martin Fronc.
