In addition to the three men who were arrested on Thursday and charged with premeditated murder, among other crimes, on Friday, the police charged a woman, Alena Z., with premeditated murder in the form of participation. The General Prosecutor's Office confirmed this after the private TV channel Markiza broke the story.
Alena Z. was detained on Friday, during a police raid that the elite police Lynx Commando conducted in her house in the southern-Slovak town of Komárno. Early reports suggested that Alena Z. worked for controversial tycoon Marian Kočner as an Italian language interpreter, but this information has not been confirmed.
Kočner is currently in custody due to an unrelated case. In the past, he threatened Kuciak and other journalists.
The JOJ TV reported that the police accused Alena Z. of ordering the murder, but neither the police nor the prosecutors have confirmed this information.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the Specialised Criminal Court on the custody of Tomas S., Miroslav M. and Zoltan A. has been scheduled for Sunday, September 30 at 13:00, the Sme daily reported.
The three men face charges of premeditated murder. This crime is punishable with a prison sentence of 20 years to life.
