Court proceedings against former deputy secret service head Jaroslav Svěchota did not begin yesterday as planned, after Svěchota’s lawyers reported he had been taken to hospital with heart problems and would not be released for six weeks.
The latest delay means it is unlikely that any court case involving former SIS officers will be completed during the Dzurinda government’s term, which ends in September.
