THE SLOVAK cabinet passed an anti-discrimination bill without any votes from the Christian Democrat Movement (KDH), which strongly opposes the provisions that ban discrimination based on sexual orientation, the daily SME wrote.
The draft protects women, physically disabled people, and ethnic minorities from discrimination and bans unfair treatment in the work place based on sexual orientation.
Interior Minister Vladimír Palko, a KDH member, voted against the bill, and his party colleagues Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic and Education Minister Martin Fronc abstained from the voting.
