Prompt action by the local police prevented a potential tragedy in Bratislava's largest suburb Petržalka on January 16. In one of the local companies, a booze-crazed 36-year-old doorman was stumbling around, waving his pistol, endangering citizens in near him. Fortunately, members of the emergency police unit who had been called to the scene deprived the armed man of his weapon and held him in custody in order to give him enough time to thinking over his misdeed.
