Cars burnt down in Vincov Les (source: TASR)
THE SUMMER heat took its tool when approximately 40 cars parked at the Vincov Les thermal swimming pool complex near Sládkovičovo, Trnava Region were burned to a crisp on July 20.
The fire, which emerged from a nearby field, engulfed the cars, Fire and Rescue Corps Presidium spokesperson Zuzana Farkasová informed the TASR newswire. Approximately 20 firefighters from Galanta, Sereď, Šaľa and Senec were dispatched to extinguish the fire, she added.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, but firefighters warn against parking on flammable surfaces, especially uncut grass or dry hay. For now, arson has been ruled out. Nobody was injured during the fire.
