Australia: Fellowship for European Researchers

The Group of Eight Australian research universities is offering four annual Fellowships worth AUD$20,000 (Sk419,000 or €12,000) to eligible researchers from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and five other countries. Four Go8 universities host one Fellow each year; in 2008 it will be the Australian National University, the University of Queensland, the University of Melbourne and the University of Adelaide.

You are eligible to apply if you have completed a PhD in the last five years; are under 40 years old at the closing date of applications; are a citizen of or reside in one of the designated countries; have been employed (minimum half-time) by a university or research organisation (public or private) in one of the designated countries for at least six months; have sufficient competency in English to communicate with researchers at the host university; are eligible to obtain an Australian Visiting Academic Visa (subclass 419) or equivalent Australian visa.
