Inspectors from the National Inspectorate of Labour (NIP) have started checking shops in the Euphoria chain after the Sme daily published a report on the effects of several drugs currently being sold there as gifts.
“We have seized four products that will be sent to experts,” said Ján Sivák from the inspectorate, as quoted by Sme.
The samples included imitation bath salt Longplay and Rasta, a mixture of herbs whose usage, according to psychiatrist Michal Patarak, has landed several young people in hospital following serious psychotic episodes, the daily wrote.
While the inspectorate has banned shopkeepers from selling Rasta, whose effects are similar to those of marijuana, they have not prohibited the sale of Longplay, whose effects are similar to mephedrone.
