THE AVERAGE monthly retirement pension in Slovakia at the end of January of this year was
€399.3. Compared to the end of January of last year, it increased by €12.1, the SITA newswire reported from the data published by the state-run social security provider Sociálna Poisťovňa.
At the end of last month, 991,100 people received this kind of pension.
Early retirement pension at the end of January was paid to 21,100 pensioners, and averaged €393.4. In annual terms it increased by €8.3. The average disability pension for people with a disability rate of up to 70 percent was €197.8 at the end of January, which is a year-on-year increase of €2.8.
The average disability pension for people with a disability rate of over 70 percent was €349.5. Compared to the end of January 2013, this was a €7 increase. There were 231,400 recipients of disability pensions at the end of last month.
