THE AVERAGE monthly wage in Slovakia rose by 9.8 percent year-on-year to Sk15,105 (€380) in the first nine months of 2004, according to data released by the Slovak Statistical Office yesterday.
For the third quarter, the average wage increased by 8.8 percent to Sk15,299 (€385), while the average real wage rose by 1.2 percent.
In the third quarter, the highest wages were paid in the finance sector, reaching Sk28,195 (€709) on average, while the lowest wage was in hotels and restaurants, Sk11,796 (€297), according to the TASR news agency.
