The City of Banská Bystrica expects 1,500-2,000 jobs to be created in a new industrial park currently under construction between the boroughs of Majer and Šálková. The park will eventually grow to some 70 hectares. The city plans to begin offering sites to investors by the end of this year when they expect all infrastructure to be completed.
The City has already reported the interest of a Danish investor and UBM(Austria) to open branches in the park.
