The Belgian company Parts & Components plans to invest $30 million in a factory in eastern Slovakia that should create up to 200 jobs, the TASR news wire wrote.
Prepared by the Machine Industry Union in association with the state-run investment agency SARIO, the project would be a joint venture with an as yet unnamed Slovak company.
SARIO spokesman Ondrej Zember said a final decision on the project is expected in several weeks or months.
The potential investor, a maker of steel and aluminium products, was established in 1938 as Gebr. Debrez in Roeselare, Belgium, and took on its current name in 2001.
