BOMB disposal experts are on permanent alert during the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bratislava.
Beginning several days prior to the planned start of the session, police checked several locations. During the event these checks will intensify, the news write SITA wrote.
Experts assisted by bomb-sniffing dogs will search not only buildings and vehicles, but also people, according to Alena Koišová of the Interior Ministry's Communication Department. Police have already requested citizens to immediately contact them if they find any suspicious objects, such as unattended bags.
Just a day before the start of the session, police found two plastic bags of explosives under a waste bin at the Fajnorové riverside near the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra where the event, featuring 352 delegates from 44 countries, is being held.
