A telephone call to the emergency line 112 in which a male voice announced that a bomb had been planted in the AuPark shopping mall in Bratislava was made at 14:45 on October 22. Police patrols along with a pyrotechnician and dog-handler unit were sent to the site.
As part of the police lockdown of the surrounding area, public bus No. 50 stopped travelling to the shopping mall.
The bomb alarm proved to be false, Bratislava Regional Police spokeswoman Karina Považanová told the TASR newswire later in the day. Police patrols didn't find any explosives. The police have already launched a criminal investigation into panic-mongering.
