According to reports in several Slovak dailies, including Hospodárske Noviny and Nový Čas, the number of flights operating from Bratislava Airport has increased.
The airport will offer 33 destinations in summer, nine more than in winter. The new schedule has been valid since Sunday, March 28, and will remain till the end of October. New destinations include the Croatian cities of Split and Zadar; Malaga and Palma de Mallorca in Spain; and Bari, Catania, Alghero and Trapani in Italy. Warsaw and Luton (in Britain)) complete the new range.
Most of the flights will be operated by the Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair. The first part of a new airport terminal being built at Bratislava Airport should be completed and begin operating before the main summer holidays begin.
