Bratislava Airport police head indicted for human trafficking

The head of the Bratislava Airport police security, whose name hasn’t been released and who was apprehended by colleagues on April 25, faces charges of human trafficking, Police Presidium spokeswoman Andrea Dobiášová told the TASR newswire on April 29. “The investigator indicted the man on charges of human trafficking, which he supposedly committed in 2008-12,” said Dobiášová. If found guilty, the defendant might face up to eight years in jail. He faces a sentence of two to eight years, according to the SITA newswire. He also might face a disciplinary proceedings or even a sacking, for the actions committed during his position as head of the alien police, when he was tasked with deciding on the stays of people who want to study, work or do business in Slovakia.
