“The exhibition presents works of modern art by contemporary artists. The central theme of the exhibition is water, which is the source of life and an inescapable part of it,” BVS spokesman Zenon Mikle told the TASR newswire.

Visitors can also see the permanent exhibits of the Water Utility Museum, along with expert lectures and free admission.

The exhibition is a part of activities around the World Day of Water which is celebrated on March 22. The BVS traditionally offers the public free analysis for nitrates and total hardness of water samples from private wells and those analyses were again offered this year from March 23 to March 25 at the BVS building, Prešovská 48, in Bratislava.

BVS also prepared activities for students from elementary and secondary schools in Bratislava and its vicinity. During the “week of water” students could see some of the waterworks’ facilities like sewage water treatment plants and interesting historical artefacts at the museum, Mikle added.
