THE FIGHT against terrorism - protection against the effects of explosives, is the theme of a two-day NATO conference, which starts at the Slovak Defence Ministry on September 28.
The aim of the conference is to offer experts a forum for an exchange of experience in this area and create conditions for common advancement of the NATO countries in the fight against terrorism, news wire SITA wrote.
On September 29, presentations by individual units of the Slovak army, the Interior Ministry and international participants will follow.
Equipment designated for the discarding of military explosives will take place on Thursday in the Military Technical and Testing Institute at Záhorie.
In July, the Slovak Republic took over a leading role in NATO in the area of disposal of ammunition and explosives.
The conference takes place under the auspices of the Slovak deputy defence minister and its main organiser is the Center for Operations and Training of the Slovak Army's General Staff.
