The initiative implies that especially in cities and big towns, people often do not know their neighbours and some people live very anonymously. Many people, mainly seniors, feel lonely and not needed. Anyone, who wants to be a co-organiser of this day might do so by meeting neighbours and inviting them on this day – often these events are organised by civic associations, schools, small groups of neighbours, and so forth.
