The Finance Ministry has adjusted the planned deficit figure in the 2003 state budget draft upwards from Sk56.4 to Sk56.8 billion ahead of Wednesday’s budget debate in cabinet.
In the budget draft, the agricultural sector is scheduled to receive about Sk500 million than in 2002, while highway construction will get Sk2 billion less and housing assistance Sk400 million less.
On the other hand, spending on social benefits will increase Sk1 billion, as will the costs of state health insurance coverage.
